Due Dates for project

THE FINAL PROJECT WILL BE DUE APRIL 8TH

December:
3-Introduction to project
6- Class Meeting; who got which state
14- Phase I due ("My Essential State Travel Plan", "Day 1 to Day 7 Travel Plan Data" & "Packing List")

January:
10- Phase II due (Rough Draft of Map, "Facts About My State", ALL POSTCARDS DUE:FINAL DRAFT)
17- Nicely mount state flag onto paper. This is going on the poster board
18- "Important date" is due (what important things happened in the state
21- Get While 1" binder for Travel Binder. Cover page for the binder is due on the 21st as well
22- Pages from binder inside clear plastic sheets neatly typed words (5 Sheets (provided in class) Here are what each should say in this order 1) Prologue 2) Essential Travel Plan 3) Packing List 4) Travel Diary 5) Travel Photo Album)
25- Final Draft of Map finished

February:
4- Phase III due- Poster which goes on the table (state food, flower, drink, insect etc.) Things about the state
8- Get tri-fold board and bring to school to start working on the board
13- Finish Travel Photo Album (you can print out photos of the state and put yourself in it, or just the state/ area. Be creative)
20- Days 1-4 should be finished/ proofread (this will be done in class but they should be finished by this day)
21-FInish idea outline for podcast and get all the photos you may need (podcast must be 2 minutes long)
28- Start recording podcast. Some may be done today while others will be done on March 1(those who I did not get to can arrange photos,, finish working on script, or work on days 5-7 writings)

March
1- Finish recording podcasts (those finished can arrange photos and make sure the podcast looks good)
4-8 This week is "Poster Week" everyday during social studies the kids can bring out all the things on their board and work on it. Make it creative and nice.
13- Days 5-7 should be finished/ proofread (this will be done in class but it should be done by this day so it can be proofread)
15- Prologue finished. We will proofread in class and make sure it looks good.
18-22 Podcast Day. Work on the last touches of the podcast. Make sure you can hear yourself easily, it has good information, and there are lots of pictures so the listener can get a good feel of the state
25-29- Poster week. If anything wasn't put on, please add it to the board. The board should definitely be worked on at home.


April:
1-5 Binder week. Make sure all the lists are in the right place. I will talk about how each page should be arranged in class. I will go around and make sure that everyone finishes their binder by the 5th of April
8- Project due. Present to your classmates today
9- At 7:00PM the parents will come to the auditorium and you will tell them about your state (State Fair)




Notes

  1. Day 1-7 writings will be done in class but the dates that it says on the calendar will be the days to edit it. Each class will have 5 periods to do the writings (1 each day), but since it is only a 1 page thing, each writing can easily be done in 1 day. The writings will be spread out, but on the days to edit they will all be finished.
